Location Research

From research into the genre of psychological thriller majority of these films at some point take place in a forest because it usually makes the viewer feel scared and creeped out about what is going to happen to the character so we decided that we would use a forest as our location to try and recreate this effect. After looking at a few different areas which would have been suitable for the filming task some of these included:

A forest area near Brent knoll was again a very secluded area so filming would be easy and uninterrupted also it isn’t too far away so it won’t take too long to travel there but the only problem with it is the fact that we will again need to find a room to use for a different scene.

The Quantocks area it was a very big area which had a lot of woodland areas to use but the distance there would consume a lot of the filming time and it was a pretty secluded area which would be good but we also need to use a room in a house which would take more time into filming going back as well.

These were both very good choices but in the end the group chose to go to a little area in Berrow which hits all the criteria for our location.

this is a small area but a long stretch of wood which can help us in our sequence because we have someone running through the woods to give the viewer a feel of adrenaline and also we also need to use a room in a house which would take much longer to do if we are in one of the other areas because they are very secluded but where we chose we all live near so we can all get there easily to film.
